Love is a brilliant light with no switch at least not one available to us I am, of course speaking of romantic Love here. It has no switch but it does have an emotion sensor soul mates of greater or lesser degree can sense one another and hearts ignite. Falling in love is not a decision and I believe there is a very good reason for it. If we had total control and love was a choice we could watch how quickly humanity would turn it inside out. It would quickly become (for far too many) all about self not about loving the other It would quickly become all about what am I going to get out of this instead of all about how you want to move mountains to put the world at the other's feet It would become a negotiable contract in which each was seeking to get the most they can and give the least and the moment the other is going to cost more than yield . . . it will be time for renegotiating or terminating. In short humanity would turn love into a hideously selfish, all take and little give, thing than no longer even resembles itself, we'd turn an angel into an evil demon.
