Who Am I?

Who am I but the needy little me,
awareness tethered to a body,
aware of only me.

Who am I but the arrogant little I,
awareness entangled in a mind,
aware of only thoughts.

Who am I but a freedom seeker,
wanting to turn to the Heart and come undone
as I become aware of only You.

Who am I but a fledgling spirit ready to fly
above the physical world, above the mental world,
into the spaciousness of the Heart.
