We clasp the hands of those that go before us, And the hands of those who come after us. We enter the little circle of each other's arms And the larger circle of lovers, Whose hands are joined in a dance, And the larger circle of all creatures, Passing in and out of life, Who move also in a dance, To a music so subtle and vast that no ear hears it Except in fragments
~~Wendell Berry

Wow - this seems like such a small verse to expand and encircle so much (and you can almost feel your own fragment of the music). Nice!!!

It is an appealing to me to think of the great animating life-force of the world as music, and the created beings as dancers to that music. I probably dance a bit like a giddy ox, but I sure feel the music.

That is a most beautiful way to think of life. There is a Daniel Nahmod song that goes "When you hear the music, dance." My Heart does the dancing in me (ha).
