Goodbyes are heard amidst the sounds of one door closing as another prosaically opens...
Living is made for broadening ones horizons and expanding ones territories, as goes the ba-dum-dum-dumb cliche of this Monday evening winding no longer slowly but quickly down...
Dire Straits serenades me with 'Your Latest Trick'...
As I look away from the past, stand in the moment, shoulders squared and look forward to every breath...
And all that is yet, to come and be, around future's corner...
Doin' the 'Walk of Life'...

sometimes all of that "accumulated knowledge" we have earned and carry with us is quite a weight eh? It is always the ghost of Christmas future that was the final part of the equation that turns Ebeneezer Scrooge around, because, he can do something about that outcome...in the here and now.... "The satin jazzmen have put away their horns And we're standing outside of this wonderland Looking so bereaved and so bereft Like a Bowery bum when he finally understands The bottle's empty and there's nothing left I don't know how it happened It was faster than the eye could flick But all I can do is hand it to you And your latest trick"
those guys write good poems in the form of songs...
