As I looked at her
I could see the
Pain in her heart
As she spoke
Of days long gone.
There sitting next to me
Her mind lost in memories
Of younger times.
Wishing she could have said
All the things she always
Wanted too but never
Took the chance.
Her Mother now gone forever
"She Says"
I want to tell her I loved her
And that I only remember
The good times we had.
And as I sit listening
To my Mother speak
Of her toughest regret
I reach over and hug her
As I whisper
I love you Mother.
