wind whips the banner of an American flag snapping it smartly against the cloud scattered and scudded skies
blustery breeze teases rose bushes to release saffron and tangerine petals to drift, drift, drift to the grassy ground
where they lie, apathetically so many soft skinned coins of gold and copper color
the bluster of highway traffic roars and sighs below my higher vantage point
i sit in my car aurically orbitally becharmed bespelled in a parking lot
gifted to witness and hear this magical moment
my mind spinning wafting a loose balloon without a string
caught up blown about- much as the wind whipped day- with thoughts of you
