I expected to find you

to turn corners and poof!
there you were arms crossed
feet planted firmly standing
in the middle
of my dream time

curiously observing me
and the unfolding dreamscape
streaming from my subconscious
around and about us

interesting
your presence filled me
with a false sense of security
rather like a dream bouncer
landed in the funhouse
dance club
of my nightmares
