I frequent this website called Patheos.com. Saw this article and I instantly thought, "I gotta share this with Nir..." What do you think, can Texas make it on its' own? Brexit leads to Texit

Could Texas make it on its own? Like most Texans, we are born believing so, that's for sure. Haha. I believe three states could actually make it if they seceded and were actually peacefully allowed to do so-California, Florida and Texas. However, I personally feel we all belong in the United States of America. My state is inundated with Bible Belt Republicans, that if they had their say, would close down Planned Parenthood and nullify a woman's individual right to govern her own body parts, specifically her reproductive organs. So, the thought of Texas seceding is not attractive to me.

You might have to invade Mexico first to grab enough resources to make a go of it. Or Oklahoma.

California or Florida might need to do so. But, in my belief, after living here almost fifty-five years now (WoW) Texas could fully function on our own, as we stand. We have a plethora of resources, including a coastline to ship commercially from. Howsomever, it is also my belief, if states begin to petition to secede, it will weaken north America, on the whole. And thereby, all of us and make us sitting ducks to invasion from other countries. Including our closest neighbors-Mexico and Canada. There's a thought. LoL
