I thought I'd take Aimes' advice regarding politics and religion. They don't mix well in the world, and they don't mix well in my poetry. That's why I deleted this piece.

However, my dear Heart and friend, no subject matter is taboo in the hands of a poet. It is our birthright as poets to project all manner of perspectives in our poetry. Both our own and others.
Nor is the usage of any word sacrilege, for that matter. Including curse words in any language; or the "N" word, for example.
It is my opinion, each piece has a voice. And that voice is not always the same voice from the last poem we wrote. That is not a bad thing. It is good to write outside of our comfort zones, at least occasionally. It helps us to develop the craft of poetry and our writing skills.
I also believe, each piece we write, has a reader. And that reader is not always the same person, every time.
I would entreat you to replace the piece. I would like to read it.
Sincerely always,
Anirbas.
