Really enjoying the reading of the Game of Thrones books. For once, I viewed the filmed version, before I read the book. Or books, in this case. I'm currently on the fifth book. George R.R. Martin's mind rocks.

what's the story with the TV show? Is it finished its' original run? I've considered watching it, but I also don't want to go binge-watching at this point in my life......

Six seasons thus far, already in the can, so to speak. The seventh season begins in July. And there will be an eighth and final season to finish.
My son read all of the books before me and raved about the books. I sent them all to him while he was away on an "extended vacation", so to speak. LoL Anyway, his opinion of the books inspired me to watch the series.
Wait no more, Phant. Read or watch, or do both, of George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones. That's what I like about the New Age option of marathoning or binging, it makes them more like reading the chapters of a book, one right after the other.

After watching the first six seasons of GoT, I started reading the books. George R.R. Martin is the American Tolkien.

Which do you like better, the books or the TV show?

Waiting for July 16th because I must. Wait. What? 'ello, Ducky. I didn't realize you asked me something. For the first time in my life, I'd be hard pressed to say. As I adore them both in equal measure. Usually, I answer, the book, of course.
I would suggest a person both read the book and watch the filmed version.
You must, must, must read these books and watch the cable efforts. I kid you not.
