[Many hundreds of thousands of American baby boomers are in the Fall or Winter seasons of their lives. I guess I wrote this to remind myself that home really is where the Heart is.]
A Heart With a View
When each day is spent in one room with a view, a bed for my body and a dresser for a few of the material things my mind wants to keep, then home has become just a place where I sleep.
I might own a treasure like legends of old or one simple ring with the memories it holds. I might live in a mansion or one room with a view, but I am who I am when I am turned to You.
For You are my Heart where my dreams still reside. You are that space where my Love will survive. You are the home that I long to return to, not body, not mind, but a Heart with a view.

I only saw just now that you did this one. Not bad, not bad at all.

I just noticed this gem, Heartfelt. I took the liberty of sharing it at our sister site and alternate universe of poetry on Facebook. Beautiful writing. It just is.
