Reflections

I contemplate the idea of a mirror mind
that reflects the thoughts and words and actions
of whatever we have decided to focus on
from the lowest to the highest.



Reflections

I have often prayed for Your Purity and Grace,
Your Bliss and Love to fill this world.
Perhaps they are reserved for Heaven alone
or until the mirror mind turns to reflect on You.

Until it turns from pride to Purity,
which opens the Heart to Selflessness,
fills the mind with humbleness,
and we can be kind in the world.

Until it turns from greed to Grace,
which opens the Heart to Peace,
fills the mind with contentment,
and we can be giving in the world.

Until it turns from desire to Bliss,
which opens the Heart to Joy,
fills the mind with gratefulness,
and we can be accepting in the world.

Until it turns from fear to Love,
which opens the Heart to Faith,
fills the mind with trust,
and we can be forgiving in the world.

Perhaps kind and giving, accepting and forgiving
are all that are asked of me,
to turn the mind which opens the Heart
to reflect Heaven on earth for Thee.

If anyone could inspire us to look inside and reflect, it is you, sweets!
Not to mention, a few stanza almost have the flavor of a ghazal in sound. Interesting.
