This is a translation of a Sanskrit poem from antiquity. And is one of my favourite poems for it's beautiful simplicity.
Look to this day. For it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course Lie all the verities and realities of your existence. The bliss of growth, The glory of action, The splendour of achievement Are but experiences of time. For yesterday is but a dream And tomorrow is only a vision, And today well-lived, makes Yesterday a dream of happiness And every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this day; Such is the salutation to the ever-new dawn!

I like this! It has a positive message.
I know sometimes I have to remind myself to live in the moment. Truly the only thing we have is this minute, this breath.

That's exactly why I loved this poem too anirbas.
I found this many years ago, and it struck a chord with me. And it is this one piece that perhaps started me writing poetry and stories.

Did you translate that yourself, get it from a book, or what?

Did I translate it? No.
I found it in an old book many years ago in the early 70's phantasm. Before the internet really took off. It can be found easily on the net now
As I said it struck a chord with me at the time... As it does now.
