Most of the day yesterday, all day the day before. My freaking god. Too hot to do much of anything, too hot to construct complex thought. Today isn't nearly as bad though.... still really up there.... I think they're calling for a bit of rain tonight.

Oh, my stars, I know what you mean! Triple digits yesterday, today and expected tomorrow, as well. Nirland has become the mouth of hell.
Construct complex thought? Wth is that? I feel your pain.

Complex thought-- you know, where is my life going, how to maximize what assets I have, balancing plot vs character in a book I'm writing, generally musing about your near future, how do I get to where I want to be, etc.

I know what it means. I was being silly, Phantasm.
It seems to me every since I took this full time job eleven years ago, yesterday, that my brain has turned to oatmeal. I've lost the gift of complex thought. Haven't written a "poetical epical" since then. LoL
Do you feel like work stifles your creativity? By the time I get home from work, it's as though all of my being has been drained and left me a mental zombie. Good enough for gamboling around stupid Facebook. LoL. But, not good enough to rub two words together and craft a decent poem.
So, do you feel like work stifles your creativity, too? And how do you deal with amp-ing your brain back up after the flotsam and jetsam of humanity has tromped on you for eight hours? LmAo. I am such an introvert. Except for when I'm not.

We received some much needed rain and a cool down, today, Phantasm.

Oh, my stars! We are melting here in Texas. It is currently 104 degrees with a projected high of 106. Feels like 110 and not a bit of breeze.
We are burning in the maw of hell.
David and I got out to go the bank about an hour ago and the heat is brutal out there.

Today we topped out at 109 degrees. Needless to say, we stayed inside the house in the air conditioning.

Gasp. Gasp. Gasp. We hit 109 degrees again, so far.
We got back from Plano, where my daughter lives at around ten, this morning. Did our errand running for the day, as quickly as possible and have been in the cave since 11:30.
Some one would have to die to get me back out in this horrendous heat, again, today.
