The gathering.
Within that darkness of the night, foul acts would soon be done,
Such evil that the human race would reel... For their end had just begun,
That darkest knight released at last... To wreak havoc once again,
All consuming are his thoughts... A desire that humanity be slain,
This soldier of the shadows shouts his battle cry once more,
To bring the army of the night toward his banner... Just as he had before.
His cries echoed through that barren land where once his comrades’ fell,
In that battle that consigned them all to those flaming pits of hell,
Save one... This lone dark knight whose evil spirit lingered on,
A remembered remnant of the past that all believed had gone,
Now tortured screams are heard as hells portals open wide,
And now another darkened warrior stands at the dark knight’s side.
Soon more arrive to take their place as their standards hoisted high,
Older than the night... Those beings, who in truth could never die,
As few become the many as the darkness turns to day,
They march now on humanity to take all life away.
Darkness.
