So many times I’ve seen your face,

As I walked through time with human race,

Immortal soul I have become,

Without you now I am undone.



Each time a mother gives you birth,

Each time you visit me on earth,

Each time you grow to love again,

Each time you take away my pain.



To share a moment in my life,

We are once more like man and wife,

And then I have to say goodbye,

For then you age...And then you die.



The midnight of my soul is here,

A heart lonely for many years,
