What truth in faith?
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
In your faith I will not put my trust,
You feed the masses with your lies,
Of life in death your preachers cry.
You say how ancient is belief,
But your sect is but a modern thief,
How hollow are the words you say,
To someone who knows not of day.
But knows more truth than you could know,
Right when your Christian faith did show,
For I was there right at the start,
Where some from older gods did part.
A pharaoh cursed with such desire,
To worship just the disc of fire,
Abandoning all that went before,
Not knowing what would lie in store.
This god on earth relinquished all,
Letting many temples fade and fall,
Deserting that which people knew,
His real followers of lies were few.
And so it was his truth held sway,
To worship that which made the day,
His right divine to rule his way,
To hope his legacy would stay.
But priests did have their own revenge,
Such desecration they would avenge,
Forsaken gods who to them would rage,
Torn roughly from old Egypt’s page.
A poisoned cup did take the life,
Of one who caused those priests much strife,
His queen tried hard to grasp his crown,
But in time into the void she drowned.
Soon all that heresy was gone,
So blasphemous, and so wrong,
All records of his crime deleted,
In hope his heresy defeated,
But just a few still held his flame,
For Christianity became its name.
Darkness.

There are a number of influences on Christianity's natal development. If you even attempt to follow the discussion there's a whole hell of a lot of acrimony out there about who influenced what and when and to what extent.
Did Akhenaten get the ball rolling? Probably, in part. Legacies of rulers can cast long shadows, especially kings and priests in the ancient world. Check out Zoroastrianism sometime, it had a massive influence on Ancient Judaism, and thusly, Christianity as well.
You never know what might have happened. Except if you have a time machine. Like the song says, "We didn't start the fire, it's been burning since the world's been turning..."

The sad part to me phantasm is that so many religions share similar ideals in their teachings. It comes down to humans interpretation of what is written. and we have to remember that humans wrote these in the first place. Be it with divine led thought it is assumed.
When you think of all the wars that have been waged over religion, or in the name of religion it is a very sad state of affairs to me.
Many things written do have a base in fact somewhere. But before books these stories were handed down verbally from generation to generation, and in some cases are still handed down today in this form. And I think it can be said that over time these tales could change. The central core of the story is embellished with other 'facts' that change the way the story is understood. Also translating books can take out a little bit of meaning.
The writing of some books had been done many years after the events from these oral stories handed down over the millennia. it is also true in the christian religion that 14 books were taken out of the bible by the Vatican council in 1684. (I had to look that up BTW) I believe they are still around in the depths of the Vatican archives never to see daylight.
Akhenaten was to many in his time a heretic. but he did sow a seed in some people I'm sure. To just worship one god must of seemed very alien to many at that time. If he actually help to spark Christianity in the future is conjecture on my part. But it's a compelling idea.
Thank you so much for reading, and your insightful thoughts my friend.

Further back than Akhenaten, guys, was the worship of the Mother. The Doni or Venus figures point to this.
