My lonely wait.
Once into my arms she came,
Another life... another name,
This immortals fancy that she’d stay,
But fate did take her life away.
A precious gift so cruelly torn,
The thought that she would be reborn,
That lonely wait I scant could bare,
For nothing of her then was there.
The years passed slowly with such pain,
To think I’d never see again,
Perfection gleamed within her smile,
So I slept the sleep of death a while.
But even in my torpid state,
I yearned for my eternal mate,
And as the centuries crept by,
I longed that I could also die.
However long my wait would be,
To know once more that spirit free,
I hoped perhaps you would appear,
And now at last I see you’re here.
Hold fast upon my mystic wish,
My lovers gaze and gentle kiss,
Bestowed to you from days long past,
That in your dreaming did always last.
Darkness.
