The Whole premise of Christianity is that under the old testament rule book no one or hardly anyone could be saved thus the need for the new plan, scrapping the old yet do may who call themselves Christians still cling to just the parts of that old rulebook that suit them that uphold their homophobia and their "right" to discriminate accordingly. All I gotta say to those people is: "you can't pick and choose!" either you buy it all or you leave it behind for the Jesus way! If you're gonna cling to the old testament rules then . . . Don't eat bacon. . . or shellfish don't ever, hell! don't ever masturbate! women, . . . hide yourselves away from society while you are on your period. . . becauser you are unclean!!!!!

Hit the nail on the head here aims. I've always felt that as long as what you do does not hurt others then it's ok. Religion I'm afraid is out of step in many ways. As it is hypocritical at times. Excellent write my friend.

The rule book may be old But so is the way we read it
Rules are only as good as the paper they're printed on It's up to us to decide what we want to do with them: Ignore them and stray into anarchy
Or obsess over them like a totalitarian parent.
Life seems to need some rules. But which rules, and who writes those laws?
The law needs writers. It also needs editors. Our rules are only as good as the thoughts we think.
Rule books and judges and legislators, cardinals and popes, socialites and opinion-makers---- What it all comes down to is we need to square with the past so we can craft a future.
