Eerie to be eighteen years out from Nine Eleven. And still at war with an indefinable foe. I posit it is time bring our children home.
It is long overdue. We do not need the oil and gas to be found in these countries. Our politicians and the one percent need the country to stay reliant on oil and gas.
Our country could easily convert to solar power and wind energy. And provide jobs in doing so, for the Americans, en masse, in this country. Factories will never return to their former glory in this country. They've all been outsourced to other countries. Along with the telemarketing industry. Coal is an antique energy that the mining of, literally kills the miners. Fracking needs to be abolished. The practice is wreaking havoc with the environment and leaving areas of the country contaminated and polluted.
And what better way to defeat your enemy? Than to simply withdraw and stop being dependent on their services.
I am not really going anywhere with this. Just had my country on my mind a lot today, this 18th anniversary of Nine Eleven.

We've been fighting the wrong battles, for the wrong reasons.
"We fight for freedom". That is a call through the ages that is worthy of blood. But what is freedom to us? We live in an ordered society, but we are all governed by laws and conventions, religion gives many a path to tread. None of this in itself is bad. However this means 'freedom' has its limits in society.
If we had not discovered oil in the middle east, and not helped to extract, (at a cost to the countries concerned, and to our benefit) the world we know now would not exist. and many wars would not have been fought. This is a mute point really but true.
One day oil and gas will be a thing of the past. But for now it is a commodity that many countries deem worth fighting for.

We are now fighting a much bigger foe... Coronavirus.
I'm not going to go into the speculation that is sweeping the internet at this time of why it's happened and how it started. However compelling some theories seem to be. The fact is we are where we are. And it's sad to say it's going to get a lot worse before it starts to get better. But it will get better.
I do think there are some leaders of nations that are in denial at this time. Or are trying to sugar coat the enormity of the situation for public order reasons, or to hold onto power. But I do believe this crisis will change society in many ways.
Let us all hope that lessons will finally be learned from this. To me this is a warning shot over the bow to humanity.
Be this a natural, or man made threat is immaterial now. We're all in this together. No one is immune to this.
Stay safe people.

Truly the truest truth of our truly daunting times, Darkness.
You and yours stay safe, as well, friend. Take care of you.
For the moment, my family and I are self quarantining. There are four of us residing in this home. One of us, is soon to multiply into two human beings. Then we shall be five.

I'm glad you and yours are safe at this time anirbas. And it's good news about the impending little one. My youngest is expecting in August. My wife is stuck at home working due to the restrictions we have here. But I am continuing to go to work as I'm required to, but I am mindful of the situation surrounding me. I just hope that people heed the advice given, otherwise the consequences will be even more dire than they could be now. Keep safe my friend.

Well things have moved on a pace since I last wrote.
Clearly the situation continues to be of concern.
I am seeing more people out and about here, and though I can understand people don't want to be cooped up, they need to be sensible when outside. I can tell you I've seen some very irresponsible behaviour of late from a few. But with that being said I think we are just starting to see the first wave of infection just beginning to peak and infections slowing down in the UK.
This is a dangerous time as many will think it's ok to go back to normal. I would advise caution as there will be a second wave, maybe a third.
Once a vaccine has been produced we will be able to get back to some normality. However I think it will be a new type of 'normal'.
