Iridescent jewels of the air Precious flying gems of glittery color rare: ruby emerald and citrine peridot sapphire and tourmaline onyx and amethyst shades ranging from violet to brilliant purple Highlighted with metallics of pewter gold and silver
Revered by the Aztec Hopi Tewa and the Cherokee as a fierce restless warrior smaller than an Old World fairy One honors my stillness with his solitary presence Deigning to dine from the largesse of flirty red petunias hanging from baskets in the buttery sunshine.

picked up the mandolin, strummed the strings and felt the sounds any sounds, but these sounds were the best, by my own hand and to the side of my eye, a little blur and flutter weaves to then stare straight to it, and know, something divine could have only been responsible for such a thing hearts lifting, and something miraculous and all I can mutter is, don't fly away, fly away and I love you, love you, love you, I don't know the reason why never needed one, never did... the best toast has to be glazed with buttery sunshine if only eyes can have a delight hummingbirds are something better, that too I don't know why
