I have had various pseudonyms across various poetry forums over the internet throughout the years.
I imagine most of us have had a couple or a few. I began as Anirbas aka Nir aka Anir at the first poetry
forum I joined in 2004. I have several ghosting these very halls somewhere. Chillblain. dog. Vulture.
To name a few. I have often found when writing poetry, there are readers that believe everything
written mirrors your real time. Me? Eighty-five percent of the time, what I write
isn't inspired by anything going on in Nir Land. It's inspired by events,
books, movies, characters from movies or books, nature, other human
beings interactions with one another, as in romance, etc...
Once David and I blew up in an alternate universe of poetry, (some of us here call affectionately,
Bnet U., in 2005) I found everything I wrote that was dark or romantic people thought correlated
with our real world. That carried over to here, once we opened these halls
in 2006. He was in England and I was in Texas when we "cut the ribbon"
on this place. Same problem. LmBo So, I developed various nom de plumes
over the years in these halls, when writing darker pieces or romantic
verses. Used Anirbas for all other genres. Kept the poetical "flock"
happier. People, especially, poets, whether they be internet poets,
or published poets never cease to fascinate and inspire me.
All that to ask how about you? Have you used other pen names?
And secondly, what do you find bemuses you to find pen and paper?
Oh. Wait. Thirdly, you are under no obligation to respond.
Just chilling at the desktop, brain gassing and thinking out loud.
