IMAGINE THE CHARM OF ALL THIS
and I well remember the occasion ·
when one morning I found you
barefoot in deep soft grass ·
draped in pastel teal chenille ·
long hair lightly breeze~combed ·
as you slowly meandered
among such stunning colors
of nascent fragrant flowers ·
amid the aerial maneuvers
of exultant radiant hummingbirds ·
it seemed you knew your blooms well
and loved them all most deeply ·
as you touched fingers~to~petals
I joined you through your wanderlust
while you introduced blossoms by name
such magic felt much like serendipity
as if we both wandered with "family"
while you whirled · twirled · swayed ·
greeting all your winged loved ones
calling each “Precious” with whimsy
in what you referred to as
your own Hummingbird Haven
we touched · kissed · embraced ·
while the hours-on-end drifted by
perhaps the whole surreal day
for I then recall the day's evening
in slow~time had fully enveloped us ·
accompanied by star~sprinkled sky
the tintinnabulation of wind~chimes
melted us into our Lovers’ Interlude
with graceful hand-gestures
you traced the constellations
naming them all with familiarity
in faint yet melodious whispers ·
as you "kissed" them onto my skin

and I well remember the next dawn
morning~light’s clarity ·
song~bird’s rhapsody ·
suddenly awakening me
from this lush lavish dream
a dream yes · pure and poignant ·
visited by the "promise" of You ·
a dream · yet held in suspension
with the sweet similar sensation
of us "levitated" in etheric rapture
the two of us dream~surrounded
by the luxury of Enchantment ·
mirroring each other’s kiss ·
echoing each other’s sighs ·
equaling each other’s touch ·
though as my days now unfold
in their usual creative way
I have sensed my surreal life
summoning me from time~to~time
for more sublime visitations with you
as time flows on I joyously discover
my yard has somehow become
our flowered chamber ·
your Hummingbird Haven ·
Love's Starlight Sanctuary ·
for I’ve found a new recognition
in the clear mystical memories of
every fragrant bloom’s silhouette ·
each feathered wing’s sound~signature ·
all your steller constellation visions ·
now imagine the charm of all this
and the appeal of your quintessence ·
as I seem to intimately know You
to truly love You and adore Us
long before your arrival in person
