A lion scarred water buffalo
I am hide damaged and marred
But, the skin is still thick
and tough enough none the less
Never giving in just giving out
Pausing a moment to catch
my breath before the bell rings
and the next bloody bout begins
Life isn't grand
Life is a predator
A gore loving carnivore
Waiting to take you down
When all you wanted was a drink
from the local watering hole

are myriad predators some deep
within our own mind anxiety
depression fear of the unknown
perhaps this is a poem, perhaps not. I shall return.

~all behind
waiting to drag you down

life itself and the living of it
is more curse than blessing
for so many of us for so many
of us just trying to draw the next breath
some wrap themselves in the flag
of their chosen religion and profess
faith brings them peace brings them peace
of mind in these trying times Lord bless us

right now I am wrestling with my demons
thoughts twisting down the dark hallways
of my mind but when I am through with this match
whether I tap out or win the event I am done
gonna adjust my wings and liftoff into the unknown
you can gawk you can talk you can label me insane
but you can’t stop this crazy train this crazy train
making tracks to leave it all behind all behind

I like this Anirbas.
I have always believed that life is how you feel it to be.
Life is a gift given for a little while, and it can be a hard gift to have, but here we are.
Society loves to label. We all have to conform to what society deems acceptable, Obey laws, which actually is important to keep a cohesive society. But it is a double edged sword.
