On critics, I have always loved the quote, I found somewhere online years ago, "Feed a poet. Starve a critic."

This is something I struggle with from time to time.

In a world where, seemingly, anyone can get their work published, why is that work suddenly valuable?

Conversely, when literally anyone can be a critic and have their articles read by thousands of people, why is the critic's work valuable?
