She be wee and small Though bravely fierce and stubborn As others are tall A rubber ball of a child Always bounce bounce bounce bouncing
Smile bright as the sun Floating bubbles of giggles Unless she's sulking She becomes thundercloud dark An offended fighting queen
Tiny in stature Big and bold with attitude Not a trace of fear Standing up to the giants In her wee four year old world

reminds me of female Chihuahuas as they often seem to become the alphas of a group of dogs in a household, such a short poem that opens doors

Small, concise, with some humor.
A nice wee piece...

Thanks for the reads and comments, Artol and Darkness. She is small and concise and like an alpha chihuahua, often has her pack on their toes. She is Lydia, our granddaughter and she is a force to be reckoned with. Less than 3 feet tall, but, she doesn't know it.
I rarely hear Calliope these days, or any Muses for that matter. Haha. But, Lydia had me cracked up with laughter and at the end of my rope the other day. And a tiny, tiny thread of inspiration unwound itself in my head. Just a flicker.
