Fear breeds greater fear
The paranoid anticipation of impending doom
And the perpetual insistence that the end is near
There's not a chance of hope in all this gloom
That's a weapon the bosses use to rule
Over the timid sheep so they can be easily shorn
And later slaughtered like the gullible fool
They want us to be: rebel instead, and scorn
The snake oil salesmen with their quack propaganda
And be instead a living Jacaranda
Tree, flourishing, nourishing, cherishing
Rather than leading us all to a great perishing
