When life's events bring me low over which I have no control. I remember, who I still am- A child that believed in fairy magic. Not yet knowing, the meaning of tragic. Who liked to slip, alone, outdoors. Into the humid, sticky arms of many a hot Texas night. Never feeling, but a bit, of fright. Serenaded by the nocturnal voices of denizens of wee black crickets. A choir of insomniacs, like me. There, beneath the willow tree. My young face tipped heavenward. Eyes opened wide in awe. At the miracle of all I saw. Arms, joyfully outstretched skyward. To encompass the glittershot void. Before understanding what religion was, I was already praying...

Dawn and LW! Good to see you both and thanks, LW. ~*~ A child embraces, with arms wide open, the wind... Wisdom of a child isn't always logical... Who else but a child would know... The only way to embrace the invisible, isn't to close your arms, tightly... But, instead, to throw them wide open? ~Nir.

"Arms, joyfully outstretched skyward To encompass the glittershot void."
How utterly gorgeously stunning is that image? This is awesome ... it's all so change-full, eh? We know and then we don't and then we do again, the same with wonder ... superb and engaging poetry as always!

Beautiful spirits run freely over this world today.... I am blessed to know you and be included in this life cycle your portray...
I just read this passage to, somewhere (old age):
"Some birds are never meant to be caged, their feathers are just too beautiful to keep hidden from the world."
Somehow I thought of you....
We are free inside! We are free in words! We are free in spirit! No one can ever touch or take this away! What a comforting thought for the day!!
Love,
Sam
