like I had not ever seen you before
serene and happy,
that haunted look
I remember so clearly
has finally left, your dewy blue eyes.
I saw you tonight,
and envisionage myself
whispering with you,
against the solemn horizon
where the pain of denial,
curled against the clouds
and for the first time, we freely cried.

your silhoutte framed
by moon's soft glowing light,
arms outstretched and that subtle smile
a kiss for each of us watching,
as you faded into a memory
and I am left, too whisper goodbye.
