Beside Me
I was not alone when you left me; I have never been left alone, To face my fears and imaginations.
There is strength in the sanctuary of darkness, Where your laughter is cast against the shadows, Of the worlds without the power of love.
Even as your body passed your spirit flew, To walk in measured steps beside me, For all the stumbling days of my life.

Sometimes it is hard to understand and too complicated to simply label what it takes to be a man in this world gone crazy... Somethings we just have let go for just that one split second and relish in the peace we find there, just to keep from losing our minds.

Eloquent introspective...Elegantly serene poem, David...Can't believe I missed this one... It put me in mind of my sainted grandmother Lano...Again, can't believe I missed this artistic gem...I'd like to clap, but this feels like a place and time to whisper or speak in soft voices... Love, Sabrina.
