Silent Supanova.
No future no past I just sit and let life be Thankfully I threw The keys of tomorrow Far far out to sea.. No elation no sorrow Just a feeling of peace With nothing to lend And nothing to borrow Only peaceful release.. Sometimes my heart Is like a supanova Exploding in a zillion Different aimless ways But when I sit and wait It’s only the silence that stays.. No future no past I just sit and let life be Thankfully I threw The keys of tomorrow Far far out to sea..

to sit on a roof with a telescope and even consider the movement of stars and matter over time that we cannot even count...when you hear songs that have lyrics that say "we are all made of stars"..and in the everyday, you find that preposterous..when you do apply some thought to it...it might be true and then, the very nature of matter itself has to feel and be like this poem...a supernova is only the life death process on a long timed scale of grand proportion..considering our mass and size in ratio and time....it is profound Dave...up till now, for me, possibly the best I have read from you thus far. It is equal in my collective group of favorites with the Prophet and the Sand and the Sea by Gibran...

David this is wonderful ... breathlessly so.
I once wrote something to a friend who i regarded as my guru (is that an outdated term these days?) in which i said that sometimes i thought i could hear his thoughts .. his response ... "it must be very quiet then" ...
This poem has *it* .. the cosmic silence ... the peace and integrity of itself ... some days i am there too, other days i am wondering where i stashed those darn keys ... see? you got me rambling *grin

gorgeous writing! My son was given a telescope by his great grandfather for Christmas just gone and we have spent many nights out on the back verandah enjoying the wonders of the night time sky.
thank you for sharing this wonderful poem. Soul

I want a telescope!!!!! When I was growing up, we had a small one, someone had given my father. Then a new neighbor moved in across the street that had a HUGE one, and it was like looking at the universe and seeing all of the poetical verse, instead of a few words, compared to the little one we had. I used to bug the dickens out of the poor man, when I was about my daughter's age, to please take me out in his backyard and let me look through his.
Just gave this poem a re-read, David darlin'...Stellar...You're a blithering genius when it comes to the written word!!!!! Your spiritual poetry moves me to be calmed, soothed...Are you sure you're not a guru? LOL As I'm always feeling your mind thinking and turning over there...Ah, well...Be that as it may, I'm out of this box and flipping into the next one!
Stellar weekending, folks! Funny, how even if you're not in school, or working outside the home, the weekend still feels like a release, a mini-vacation...Blessed be, ya'll!
Sabrina.

My most sincere thanks Soul and Sabrina ... These are the observations one sees when you turn the telescope inside .. or whatever. I get into that space far less than I would like ... but I keep working at it David

You're sincerely welcome. DMcC: "I get into that space far less than I would like..." I read that and heard the intro to Star Trek, in my head... "Space...The final frontier..." ggglgggl...I"m so hokie... Just typing this, this thought rolled into my head... "These are the voyages, of starship David..." Didn't mean to wreck this beautiful thread, with my jokes...But, it's national belly laugh day, I found out this morning...And the knowledge, has effected me somehow...Impressionable mind, being what it is and all that rot... Besides, laughter is a spiritual experience...Yes? Take care, D and folks, and don't forget to just... Blessed be...Sabrina.
