She knows she wasn’t saintly, Though, praise God, she walks the gold Streets of heaven’s domain, Still she feels the cold
Torment of imperfection In her heart when she compares Her lesser state of blessedness Compared to others there.
“What then,” she says to Peter, “Is there then no chance for me To improve myself anymore, Bound eternally
To remain unperfected In this perfect place? Surely God aspires for me, Surely God has grace
Enough to set me free from here - What good’s eternity If I must remain imperfect? Surely this can’t be!
So stand aside Peter, And let me out the gate. I’m off to find some good to do And thus improve my fate.”
As she quit the holy city Determined, unforlorn, Somewhere down on planet Earth Another child was born.

I think this could do with a tiny bit of tweaking to be stunning .. the rhythmic message is amazing! Who knows when each soul will find/reach perfection but the point of it all, in my view, is to find a path - or several - to head that way ... lovely writing!

Thanks David, Shell. Wrote this one quickly for an add-a-poem thread the day before and haven't edited it so it could do with some work, yes.
